Ascension to Existence

The fact that he didn’t apologize for what I’ve heard deemed a “raunchy” performance makes me want to hug and kiss him.
I saw it on the televisions at work and I kept saying “That’s my boy!”
The whole thing is ridiculous. This is proof that sexism and homophobia are alive and well in this country. There wasn’t this much hoopla when Madonna kissed Britney AND Christina. Proof that fake lesbianism is hot and gay dudes are gross. He kissed a dude, get the fuck over it. And so what if he simulated oral sex onstage? We have songs being played on the radio about sucking on someone’s “lollipop” and other oral sex references all over the fucking place. But because he is a gay male, it is somehow inappropriate.
It is a double standard. I support Adam Lambert, every day, all day.

She couldn’t have said it better…

While I agree that the kiss shouldn’t be a big deal, I disagree about the simulated oral sex on stage. There’s a huge difference (huge) between double entendres about lollipops on the radio and a man pushing another man’s face into his crotch on stage. When was the last time you saw a female artist plop down on stage, open her legs, and massage her nether regions with a male dancer’s nose? How about a guy doing the same thing on stage with a female dancer? I think there would be just as much outrage about a guy simulating oral sex with a female onstage. How many people would complain about the degradation and objectification of women?
Just because he’s gay doesn’t mean he’s right.
